What is the X-Balanced Speaker Unit?

Unlike the circular diaphragm in a conventional speaker unit, the newly developed X-Balanced Speaker Unit in the XB43 features an almost rectangular diaphragm. 

 

What does it do?

The unit's rectangular shape not only maximises the area of speaker diaphragm, increasing sound pressure for more punchy bass – it also reduces driver excursion while maintaining the same sound pressure, resulting in less distortion and greater vocal clarity.

Tweeter improves vocal clarity

The XB43’s 2-way speaker system combines a woofer for low to mid-range frequencies with a dedicated tweeter for the higher range frequencies. The result is exceptional vocal clarity.

 

Mica Reinforced Cellular speaker cone and dust cap

The rigid and lightweight Mica Reinforced Cellular (MRC) speaker cone and dust cap contribute to the sound quality.

 

Side passive radiators

With an IP67 rating, you can take your speaker to the beach, the forest, the desert, or wherever you like – the SRS-XB43 will keep on playing, no matter how dusty the surface. It’s waterproof and salt water resistant too – so you’ve no worries using it by the sea or the pool – and there’s no problem washing it either.

 

Long battery life

Up to 24 hours of battery life means the SRS-XB43 can party even longer than you can. Even with the lighting on in EXTRA BASS™ mode, you can party for up to 14 hours.

There’s no fun without party lights. The SRS-XB43 has a tweeter light, a speaker light, and a multi-colour line light that all flash in sync with the beat. You can even change the colour of the line light to suit your mood.

Use a USB Type-C® cable to charge the SRS-XB43 and if your smartphone’s running low on power, just plug it into the speaker’s USB port to charge up the battery.
